Description
The Feudal Japanese system was one of order and perfection where there were traditions and rituals associated with all things; everything from pouring tea to committing "seppuku". Like the people the weapons were also very ritualized and venerated. This beautiful Jin Tachi is no different.
Made by Ten Ryu, this sword features a full tang construction with removalable pegs in the handle. The Ito (handle wrapping) is tight and comfortable to hold. The Iron Menuki (Hilt Decorations) match the rest of the blades Tsuba (forward guard) and Kishira (pommel cap). The beautiful blade is made of folded 1065 High Carbon steel and the pattern weld in the hand made blade is visiable. The blade is extremely sharp and that sharpness extends into the Kissaki (tip). This blade features a fuller that runs the majority of the blade.
The Saya (Scabbard) has been handsomely varnished in a traditional black coloration. The Saya-Ito (Scabbard Wrap) is extremly nice and attractive, adding to this amazing blade.
