This unique Crusader era sword has an interesting past. Though few examples have been found, the pommel type dates as far back as the 7th century. This is most definitely a Anglo-Saxon inspired weapon and thus would have come from the mind of a English smith.
The en45 high carbon steel blade comes unsharpened and is perfect for reenactment or light sparring. The blade has been peened through into the pommel and is securely attached. The handle is made of wood, wrapped in leather strips. This sword is robust and able to take a certain amount of abuse.
The Wooden Scabbard is wrapped in leather and has a raised belt loop.
