The opulence of the Russian Tsar's court during the late 18th century could be described as chaotic, immoral and many other things but one thing that it was the most wast lavished.
One could not be part of the court unless they themselves portrayed themselves in this likewise lavished life style.
Something else that could be said for the Russian court was that it was violent and the need to either defend or attack was ever present.
This pistol would have fit perfectly into the court of the day.
All the moving parts are metal and the trigger action works correctly. The flash pan moves and the flint striker arm cocks back and slams forward with a very satisfying click.
The barrel is also full metal with filigreed engravings on it.
The grip is simulated ivory.
