Description
In 1939, Basil Brown made a discovery that would define his lifetime. He found the now famous burial mounds at Sutton Hoo which contained one of the largest archeological finds in English History. Thought to be the burial mound of Raedwald, king of East Anglia.
The intricated panels in the helmet depict warriors and horsemen defeating their foes. The panels are made from antiqued aluminium and are riveted to 18 guage steel metal. The intricate brasswork also sheds light on the importance of the man who wore it.
Note: there is no void behind the nose of the faceplate thus if you have a large head this helmet might be a tad uncomfortable. We recomenned that if you wish to purchase to wear.
