Talhoffer Buckler

Hans Talhoffer spent decades of his life cataloging the fighting styles passed down and created by himself in the mid to late 15th century. One of the more striking and interesting illustrations was that of a strange, alien like buckler. This buckler had many advantages as the spike could be used as an offensive weapon but also aided in binding and other techniques of the day. This beautiful recreation is made from a 16 gauge mild steel and has a surprising heft. This buckler is 18.75" long and the center boss is fluted and well shaped.
