Viking Battle Axe

The Cold Steel Viking Battle Axe has a robust and sharpened axehead of 1055 high carbon steel which is mounted onto a sturdy haft of American Hickory. The length of the haft facilitates one and two-handed use as needed and its broad head gives it considerable chopping power. The elongated forward point makes it a surprisingly capable piercing weapon.

The socket of the axe has an integrated internal hex screw which can be tightened to re-seat the axehead should it began to loosen over time. Care must be taken when doing this because it is possible to tighten the screw so far that it travels beyond the socket of the axehead and becomes embedded entirely in the wood - in such a position it can no longer secure the head to the haft.
